British country duo The Shires have kicked their promo into high gear this week ahead of their third studio album’s ‘Accidentally On Purpose‘ release this Friday (April 20th).
If you were walking around London yesterday, you may have noticed some of the city’s most recognised and iconic statues sporting pink cowboy hats. And this may have something to do with The Shires, the fastest-selling UK Country act of all time.
With Country being one of the biggest fashion trends for Winter this year, and the duo leading the way in the British Country scene alongside Ward Thomas, Country officially took over London’s statues for one day only.
It was a sight to behold as Kensington Gardens’ Peter Pan, Leicester Square’s Charlie Chaplin and New Bond Street’s Roosevelt and Churchill were among the capital’s statues to model The Shires’ pink stetsons, adding a splash of colour to some of London’s most loved historical figures.
It was a truly magical sight for anyone lucky enough to be in London to see the stetsons on statues and brilliant marketing from The Shires ahead of their LP’s release.
