The Bold and the Beautiful Recap, Thursday, September 21: Deacon Dumps Sheila - Douglas The Family Man

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) recap for Thursday, September 21, teases that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) and Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) panic when Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) shows up at his apartment unannounced. She calls out to her dad, who tells her he’ll be right there.

Deacon ushers Sheila into the bathroom, ordering her to be quiet. He answers the door and hugs his daughter. She tells him she hasn’t heard from him in a while and wants to check on him.

Hope invites Deacon over for dinner. The kids miss their grandfather. He says he would love to have dinner at her place. Deacon asks how she’s doing after the breakdown of her marriage to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).

B&B spoilers say that Hope says she’s strong and doing well. She’s confident that she and Liam can co-parent and remain on good terms.

Deacon points out that it must be tough to let go of Liam. He says he is here for her if she needs someone to lean on.

Sheila eavesdrops on the conversation from the bathroom. She wants that connection with her son, John ‘Finn’ Finnegan (Tanner Novlan).

Hope gets a text message and exits Deacon’s apartment. After she leaves, Sheila comes out of the bathroom. Deacon informs Sheila that it was too close of a call and that what they are doing ends “right here, right now.”

Deacon explains that a part of him doesn’t want to let Sheila go. But the risk of Hope learning about their romance is too great. It would destroy their relationship. He’s worked too hard to develop a bond with her and his grandchildren.

Sheila understands why he needs to break up. She will cherish every moment they spent together. She said she’s grateful for it all. Sheila says that listening to Hope talk to him inspired her to reconnect with Finn. She’s determined to have the same type of relationship with her son.

At the cliff house, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) pushes Finn to cut Sheila out of his life. She’s blessed to have him as a son but cannot help but feel angry that his father’s affair with that “psychopath” has upended their lives.

Li says she understands why he reached out to Sheila. It’s only natural to want to know where he came from and get to know his birth mother.

Finn refuses to allow Sheila to have power over him. He must find a way to eliminate her from his life so his wife will come home. Li says Finn is probably the only one who can get through to his birth mom. It’s up to him to end the madness.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Finn won’t let Sheila ruin anything for him. Steffy and the children are too important to him. Li advises her son to break the hold that Sheila has on him immediately.

Finn wonders what they will do if Sheila refuses to let go of him. Li thinks that her son will figure out something. She tells him to look for Sheila’s weak spot and start there.

Back at Forrester Creations, Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) is in awe of his dad’s sketches. Douglas asks Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) if they can go to the beach with Hope and his sister. He thinks Hope is happiest when she’s with her family.

Thomas tells his son they love him, but sometimes you don’t get what you want immediately. It’s important to have patience. “Your mom is going through a lot right now.”

The concerned dad reminds his son that everything will fall into place if it’s meant to be. Douglas agrees and exits to spend time with Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis).

Thomas arrives home to find a candle burning and a clean house. Hope arrives not long after. Hope says she got his message. Thomas says he didn’t text her; she texted me. They turn and see Douglas in the doorway with a grin on his face.

The parents realize they have been set up. Thomas says Douglas is a Forrester; it’s a family trait to be able to pull off a romantic dinner.

Douglas thinks they belong together because they make each other better. He says,” That’s what family does.”
