Earlier this year, it was reported that Tekashi 6ix9ine had a new documentary coming out about his life. Hot New Hip Hop claims the streaming platform, Hulu, has produced a new documentary about the performing artist and his life.
This Monday, on the 16th of November, Hulu dropped their latest project concerning Mr. Hernandez, 69: The Saga of Daniel Hernandez, which was filmed by Vikram Gandhi and comes not long after Showtime unveiled their 3-part series, Supervillain.
Reportedly, the news of the documentaries has already made a lot of people mad including his manager, Murda Murphy from Electric Feel Management, who took to his social media to share his candid thoughts on the program.
Murda wrote on his account that the projects from Hulu and Showtime were both “unauthorized” and had nothing to do with Hernandez. He went on to say they were “talking cap,” (another way of saying ‘lies’).

Murda urged Daniel’s fans not to support it nor stream it. He said when Tekashi 6ix9ine does something, the fans will find out about it. In case you missed it, Showtime announced they were unveiling a new project about Tekashi 6ix9ine as well.
The rapper has been silent on social media ever since he dropped his latest project, Tattle Tales, which reportedly didn’t sell as well as he and his team had hoped for. Initially, estimates said it was going to move more than 150,000 copies in its first week, but those projections were later cut into a third: 50,000.
This was right around the same time as Big Sean’s latest project, Detroit 2, which wound up selling 150,000 units in its first week. Previously, Tekashi posted a video on his Instagram in which he was on the streets of New York City handing out copies of his latest album.

The rapper could be heard saying “here – because y’all don’t want to buy it.” Mr. Hernandez just got out of prison after he was incarcerated for approximately two years related to a racketeering case.
