British/New York trio Le Grind are back with their brand new single ‘Bricks’. The track is an aspirational dance anthem which is inspired by the sounds of the underground Ballroom scene in late 1980’s NYC.
Le Grind’s new release ‘Bricks’ features horn stabs, Chicago house pianos and 808 claps. Each and every lyric is delivered with a sassy snap, urging the apathetic Millennial to get off their backsides and go work for whatever they want to achieve in life.
The new single is the follow up to the critically acclaimed ‘Pillow Talk‘, which the Guardian called the “most infectious dance track ever”. The song also received radio support from BBC6 Music, Kiss FM and Gaydio.
‘Bricks’ isn’t released until later this month but the band have already premiered the official music video for their new single. The promo clip casts a playful, tongue-in-cheek shade at the many YouTube stars of today with Reyna Lauren playing Bricks O’Hara, a YouTube baking sensation who has everybody from the neighbourhood hooked on her special cupcakes.
The video follows her struggle from obscurity to YouTube super-stardom, culminating in her inevitable and very lucrative book deal.
