Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper took the stage at the 2019 Oscars last night to perform an amazing version of Shallow that took the audience’s breath away! But before that, it turns out that Cooper had something to tell his A Star Is Born co-star and it was apparently exactly what Gaga needed to hear at the time!
Lady Gaga was honored with an Academy Award for Best Original Song and after, she went to the press room alongside fellow songwriters Anthony Rossomando, Mark Ronson, and Andrew Wyatt.
During the interview, they opened up about winning such a big award as well as the project itself.
Furthermore, the singer and actress was asked to give some pieces of advice to the LGBTQI community in Australia as they celebrate Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
Gaga used this opportunity to reveal the advice Cooper gave her before they performed the hit song at the star-studded event.
‘What I would like to say is one of the hardest things in life is to just be brave enough to be yourself. I wish to everyone that’s going to that celebration to feel joy inside of them. That’s actually what Bradley said to me yesterday just before we had our last rehearsal for this performance of ‘Shallow.’ He said, ‘Let’s just drop a bit of joy.’ And I said, ‘OK.’ And it turns out, joy did a whole lot for me.’
That is so sweet! And it is safe to say that the man’s thoughtful words will only make people ship him and Gaga even more now!

The star went on: ‘I hope that everybody there in Sydney feels so much joy and celebrates all identities. And I also have a true dream in our future as we evolve as humanity that these award shows will not be male and female but that we include everyone.’
