Singer/songwriter Logan Mize has had an absolutely massive 2018 with his worldwide streaming hit ‘Better Off Gone’ continuing to grow day on day and has been on Spotify’s Viral Top 50 in multiple countries along with their Global Chart.

He has also been listed as one of 2018’s Country Artists to Watch by AOL, PopCulture.com, Popdust, and AXS, among others, and this song is taken from his Billboard Top 20 album ‘Come Back Road’, with the official music video highlighted as one of CMT’s ’10 Must-See Indies You Need To Know’.

Here we speak exclusively to Logan Mize to discuss his hugely successful year and what we can expect from him in 2019:

2018 has been massive for you, what would you say has been your personal highlight?

Thank you! It’s definitely been a good year. Being able to go out and tour on our own as extensively as we have was definitely a highlight. I don’t think we’ve ever been this busy on the road.

Your single Better Off Gone has been hugely well received, how excited have you been by the response?

I’m always thrilled when folks get excited about music I’m releasing. To have such an organic reaction is definitely reassuring. All this has happened with very minimal promotion. The good folks at Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, and Amazon have been really supportive and have helped make this happen as well. They didn’t have to add me into all their big buzz playlists but they did. That really has a lot to do with it.

What was it like being on the CMT list for Must See Indies list?

Leslie Fram and the whole CMT squad has always been so great to me. I love that crew and I’m extremely thankful they continue to support my music. It’s always good to feel included on the buzz lists.

From 2016 to now you have been on an incredible wave of success, how would you describe the last two years?

It’s always been such a gradual build that I don’t notice huge changes but looking back at 2016 when it felt like I was fighting to keep a music career to now being on the front edge of what feels like a big wave of success….It’s really a remarkable feeling.

Looking back at the start of 2018 what was your major goal for the year, and did you achieve it?

I usually have 3 sets of goals each year which are divided into personal, family, and career. My number 1 career goal was to make Better Off Gone a hit song. I knew that if that happened all the other short term career goals would follow. I think we achieved the first half of this goal by proving it’s a hit with it’s streaming numbers and the large amount of new fans we have screaming for this song every night on the road. Now the 2nd half is seeing it through all the promo at radio and through all the channels it has to go through to get to the top.

As we head towards the end of the year, what are your Christmas plans looking like?

Luckily a few days off. We’ll just be home in Kansas hanging with family. Although we do have a big New Year’s Eve show planned in Wichita, KS. It’s typically a pretty big party. My wife, Jill Martin also has a new EP coming out on the 27th which I have to say is really great. If anyone is looking for real, lived in, authentic, country music with outstanding vocal talent then they’re going to love her tunes. She’s spent the last seven years at home with the kids so she has a lot to say. She’ll be performing at the New Year’s Eve show with me.

Looking ahead to 2019, what can we expect from you?

There will be a lot of touring and we’re pushing Better Off Gone to country radio so I’m assuming a lot of the year will be focused on that. For those looking to get new music from me we have a ‘From The Vault’ series that is currently on Facebook and YouTube. We’ve released 4 tracks so far from an album that was recorded in 2014 and never came out. I think we’ll also try to get a deluxe version of the Come Back Road album out with some bonus tracks and videos before we completely move into a new phase.

Do you have a message for your fans?

Thanks for keeping me and my crew employed! We’re so thankful to do this for a living.
