Ellie Jean Winters was an exemplary student at Glenn High School, where she was a member of the Glenn High School Guardians Dance Team. She was a diligent and ambitious young woman who was enthusiastic about starting the next chapter of her academic career at UT Austin.

Ellie Jean had been working hard over the summer to earn extra money to save for college. On her social media, she had posted that she was offering pet care and house sitting services to help families feel comfortable taking summer vacations.
